Yoga Classes at Maplewood Spine and Fitness Center

Vinyasa Flow:  Mondays and Wednesdays  5:00 – 6:00 p.m.

Power Vinyasa:  Thursdays  5:15 – 6:15 p.m.

We welcome everyone, regardless of fitness level or yoga experience. Just about anyone can do yoga! Yoga is a low-impact activity and includes gentle movements. Yoga is sometimes used as part of a physical therapy program and rehabilitation of injuries.  A typical yoga class involves a sequence of physical poses targeting all parts of the body with an emphasis on breathing, flexibility and increasing circulation.

Performing yoga has many health benefits:

  • Postures performed help strengthen and tone muscles and if performed in rapid succession can provide cardiovascular conditioning.
  • Mind and body awareness enhances mood and improves quality of life.
  • Deep breathing can reduce stress, thereby lowering blood pressure and inducing relaxation.

Meghan Hatalla, RYT 200

Meghan is an encouraging, adaptable instructor who integrates elements of Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Soma yoga styles together with enhancing somatic awareness in the body. She completed her teacher training with Maria Toso (Saint Paul Yoga Center) after three  years of practice.

The body talks – yoga is one way to find out what it’s saying!

Angela Willard, RYT 230, Yoga Alliance Certified

Angela found her way to Yoga after a car accident left her with chronic pain. Yoga has been a key component in helping her heal her mind and body from the injuries she sustained. Angela is a wonderful addition to our team at Maplewood Spine and Fitness Center as many people fall into the category of chronic pain, injury or high-stress levels.
